This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Database Architect in Doral, FL to Build, maintain, and sustain overall knowledge management framework.
This position is in support of US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) operations, planning, engagements, and security cooperation in its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), which currently includes Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Sea.
One of six US geographic combatant commands, USSOUTHCOM deters aggression, defeats threats, rapidly responds to crises, and builds regional capacity by working with partner nations and mission partners to enhance security and defend the US homeland and national interests. USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its AOR to understand and counter threats from transnational criminal organizations, violent extremist organizations, and malign regional and external state actors.
What You Will Do
Builds, maintains, and sustains overall knowledge management schema.
Leads, directs, and oversees the designing, modeling, documenting, and guiding of the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications.
Drives the analysis of needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications.
May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
Maintains KM database and code base and manages user permissions to ensure secure access to content, complying with data security and access policies.

What We Are Looking For
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Experience in database architecture, design, development, and administration.
Experience understanding of database technologies, including SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with database design, data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
