Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Change Management Analyst, responsible for day-to-day operation of the Change Management function within an enterprise organization. Additionally, this role plays a key part in maintaining system stability, minimizing service disruptions, and improving overall operational efficiency.

As a Change/Release Management Analyst for the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) program, you will support the business strategy that helps ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Problem Analyst joining our team to strengthen our execution of the Change Management process and the enhancement of the delivery teams’ overall capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the day-to-day operation of the Change & Release Management function within a large organization.

  • Solid understanding of Change & Release Management best practices.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Configuration Management processes.

  • A solid understanding of current infrastructure technologies such as LAN, WAN, Server, storage, Virtual Desktop and telephony.

Responsibilities:

Change Management:

  • Prepare for the IT CCB (Change Control Board) meetings to facilitate the introduction of new or changes to existing IT services seamlessly and with minimal disruption to the live environment.

  • Ensure Change Schedules are kept up to date to manage possible contention and, when required, prepare and communicate the weekly Change Schedules.

  • Assist all of IT when they have any Change related queries.

  • You will represent Change Management during Major Incidents by understanding the risks of any remediation options and any potential impacts on planned changes.

  • You will be responsible for the Impact Assessment, including assessment of all accompanying technical documentation, e.g. test plans, implementation plans, roll back/back out plans, etc., and seek additional information if required.

  • Assist with the Pre-Approved change (Standard Change) process and proactively work with operations teams to identify potential PAC candidates and review existing PACs when required.

  • Work closely with the Configuration Management Team to ensure that processes operate seamlessly as a part of the wider Change and Configuration team and to ensure all changes are appropriately captured in the CMDB.

  • Continually review and improve the Change Management Process, ensuring that all processes and procedures are documented and updated.

  • Manage the entire authorization process (through the Change Management Tool) of all Change related activities in the live environment.

  • Ensure that when IT Changes fail correct deployment or have a detrimental impact on the live environment, all relevant evidence is prepared and attached to the change by owning the Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) process and reporting accordingly on any trends or patterns emerge.

  • Log and analyze all required measurements (KPIs/KRIs) and accurately report on measures to support overall management Reporting.

  • Use all sources of Management Information to analyze trends to improve the future delivery of changes.

  • Assist in the design of change processes for high-priority critical programs and projects.

Release Management:

  • Responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling software development and delivery process.

  • Responsible for handling the delivery of services on time and management of both IT operations and developers.

  • Responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule and within budget.

  • Planning, testing, tracking, release, deployment, communication and risk management as it pertains to Release Management.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field highly desired.

Certifications:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years in an ITIL-focused role, with at least 2 years strictly within Change Management and 1 year working within the Release Management practice.

  • ITIL V4 Foundation Preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experiencing utilizing ServiceNow.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of ITSM tools and software for change management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Security Clearance:

  • Secret required with ability to attain TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $90,950 - $123,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
