The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will be responsible for leading the business intelligence team through the site’s digitalization roadmap that will see the site move from predictive insights to an adaptive plant in line with Industry 4.0. You will be responsible for developing the projects and leading the team to deliver high impact sustainable results to achieve the site’s vision to be a global leader in advanced manufacturing. You will engage with external parties to stay informed on advancements in the business intelligence space and provide insights to the local site strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the team to identify and complete projects that will allow the site to move through the digitalization road map

  • Acting as a change agent implementing business intelligence and industry 4.0 initiatives that are aligned with business strategies to deliver sustained results.

  • Developing and implementing predictive technology and systems that will enhance business decision making capability and performance

  • Collaborating with teams and various functional areas to integrate systems to improve business performance

  • Providing direction and support to various stakeholders within and outside of the business intelligence department.

  • Liaising with internal and external parties to ensure ADC Donegal are at the forefront of all Business intelligence advancements

  • Leading a business intelligence learning and development roadmap to ensure we have the skills and capabilities to meet the future needs of business intelligence

  • Liaising with internal and external teams to resolve and/or facilitate resolution of BI problems including escalate issues when appropriate and/or implementing corrective actions.

Education and experience :

  • Bachelors Degree Manufacturing/Engineering/Analytics/systems/Science qualification or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 3 years+ experience in a manufacturing/engineering/analytics/systems/cloud computing environment

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
