Amentum MSEM Crew Chief in Doha, Qatar

The MSEM Crew Chief is responsible for the management of assigned employees that inspect, maintain and service assigned non-powered Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE). Uses IMDS, DPAS and MC2 as part of routine duties. Operates Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS). Depending on operational tempo may at times be required to participate as part of the work force conducting explosives operations. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities

  • Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during all explosives and non-explosives operations in assigned sites and TDY locations.

  • Ensures pre-task safety crew briefings are accomplished before the start of any operation.

  • Takes necessary control and timely response actions during emergency events.

  • Assists in the development of the yearly master and monthly MMHE maintenance control plan IAW with established contractual standards.

  • Adheres to the production scheduling of assigned MMHE in accordance with established quality processes, identifying potential problems, recommending and implementing problem solving solutions.

  • Conducts quality control of all maintenance according to technical standards, identifying potential problems, recommending and implementing solutions.

  • Supervises/directs Western/Foreign National Workforce, providing clear work instructions and direction expected on production efforts of all ongoing and future MMHE maintenance;

  • Reconditions, repairs and replaces defective or missing parts of assigned MMHE; ensuring reliable serviceability.

  • Enforces and adhere to consistent use of technical publications during all maintenance actions.

  • Prepares and configures MMHE in maximum deep storage, ready-to-ship configuration to include stacking of trailers for future shipments for air, sea and surface transportation.

  • Assists with the up-loading and downloading trucks with MMHE shipments.

  • Identifies job status scheduling delays, shortfall of resources to Munitions Control and MSEM Supervisor.

  • Establishes levels of resources and procure IAW with AFI 23-110 and Amentum standards for bench/operating stocks.

  • Maintains the tool storage, CTKs and special equipment compliant with industrial and Amentum standards.

  • Maintains shelf-life items (lubricants, paint, etc.) to include availability of SDS for assets.

  • Inspects, operates and performs maintenance on light vehicles and handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and manual hoists.

  • Inspects and operates metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools.

  • Inspects and performs minor maintenance on facilities and installed equipment. Cleans vehicles, equipment and facilities.

  • Works necessary hours, to include stand-by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have intermediate knowledge of the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.

  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.

  • May be required to operate material handling equipment.

  • Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must not have been convicted of a Domestic Violence charge (Lautenberg Amendment compliance).

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.

  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.

  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

  • Must have normal color perception and depth of vision.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred a minimum of four years of experience with Military Munitions.

  • Preferred a minimum of two years of combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions/MMHE activities.

  • Preferred a minimum of two years of combined experience with USAF MMHE.
