Description and Requirements

SUMMARY

The Channel Marketing Sr Manager is responsible for Carriers & Retail marketing business, working together with brand, commercial team, the channel marketing team among other teams, to fully develop and implement the marketing strategy plan, aligned to channel needs & client’s objective in order to reach the KPIs previously defined at the company's annual plan.

The importance of this role is to lead the channel mkt team assuring a cohesive yet engaged and motivated team within a collaborative environment.

  • Acknowledgement of total company´s KPIs, understanding source of growth for Motorola Mx, (macro brand), and development of channel strategy.

  • Deep understanding of client's realities and needs based on annual sales & investment analysis, for each Retail and Carriers top client´s to develop the correct initiative for each of them.

  • Applies consumer insights and market intelligence across all client's activities to assure that the marketing plan is in the right path focusing on the target audiences to have the correct messages, at the correct media for each specific key client.

  • Understands market trends and overall industry, the buyer, and buyer's processes, as well as our product features and capabilities, our strengths, our differentiators, and how we will position our product relative to the competition.

  • Give direction, energize, and manage channel mkt team considering regional mkt insights and objectives, to develop the annual marketing strategy by client considering the budget, business needs, local objectives, and insights.

  • Periodic business follows ups with channel Marketing team to assure execution of the marketing plan at each client and adjust if necessary.

  • Responsible for channel marketing budget, by ensuring correct budget allocation across both retail and carriers while analyzing its efficiency and productivity.

  • Assure the team develops qualitative & quantitative analysis of the investment (ROI/ learning).

  • Develop channel marketing team identifying strong skills and opportunities to assure the team delivers business results and grows professionally.

  • Motivate and support the team through recognition and developing new assignments to improve business knowledge, exposure, and managerial skills (strategic thinking, consumer centricity, planning & organizing).

  • Develop strategic presentations to top management focusing on providing the correct visibility to take the right decisions towards the business.

  • Promote sharing best and worst practices among countries, mainly at the region but also globally to assure the brand experience evolution for our consumers in Mexico.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong Marketing foundations (brand positioning, brand equity, consumer insights)

  • Media plan (direction to the channel mkt team and evaluation of media plans (Off & On KPIs)

  • Commercial savvy. Able to speak both languages marketing and commercial

  • Financial variables & its impact to the business

  • Advanced English (oral & written)

  • Project management

  • Trade Marketing variables & its impact to the business

  • Budget Management experience

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, industrial engineering, or other related.

  • Master Marketing degree preference.

EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years of experience in Channel Marketing, Marketing or Trade Marketing, desirably coming from CPG companies.
