Torden CAT III Arabic Linguist - Transcription and Translation Specialist in District Of Columbia

Torden has a unique opportunity for a qualified Arabic linguist professional to provide transcription and translation services for an audio recording. The location is the National Captial Region. This is a short-term project.

Requirements:

  • Ability to transcribe English audio.

  • Ability to transcribe Arabic audio and translate to English

  • Must meet ILR level 4+ in all skills tests to include but not limited to transcription/translation of Arabic to English

  • Working proficiency of English at 4+ level.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation and transcription.

  • Must have strong keyboarding skills.

  • Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team.

  • Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations for verbatim transcription.

    Security Requirements:

  • Preferred: Individuals with an active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access

  • All candidates must pass a U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening and polygraph to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access

  • U.S. Citizenship

    • Federal requirements mandate that all applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens. * Priority will be given to applicants with active security clearances, recent CI interviews, and current polygraphs.
