Merchandiser

POSTION SUMMARY: All brands strategy, product development and innovation are lead and driven by certain PVH affiliates in the US with respect to products under the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger sold in NA, Asia and SA; and in the Netherlands with respect to products bearing the Tommy Hilfiger Europe, Calvin Klein Europe with respect and sold in the Asia region. The position in this job description helps the above mentioned PVH related parties meet their operating and strategic needs.

Responsible for development and bulk order execution for the brand and collaborate with different teams. Assist the Senior Merchandiser for the day to day execution and operations in line with the brand’s strategy to achieve KPIs. Specialised knowledge in Women’s Underwear & Lingerie products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Day to day Merchandising activities on Developemt & Bulk

  • Sound knowledge on Product Development, Costing & Production.

  • Sample development and bulk delivery tracking.

  • Good communication skills with vendors, Cross functional teams, regional teams required.

  • Conduct preliminary cost analysis with vendor with knowledge on yy, consumptions etc.

  • System data entry

  • WIP management

  • Sound knowledge on Embellishments (Embroidery, Prints)

  • Industrial washing knowledge would be an additional advantage.

  • Assist in the follow up on the execution of bulk production including trims, fabrics production schedule and delivery status.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS

Internal Contacts: Work with other business counter-parts, material, colorist, technical teams ,QA teams

within Region.

External Contacts: Vendors, suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience:

  • University degree with 3-4 years of related work experience; or post-secondary degree with minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in apparel.

  • Should have experience in buying/trading office or manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Strong Product& bulk operations preffered.

  • Excellent Verbal & written skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • A good team player

  • Builds good working relationships; collaborates toward deadlines and deliverables.
