Overview

Position Summary Details

The Lead Shuttle Driver is the trainer, supervisor and dispatcher for shuttle drivers.

Essential Functions

  • Picks up and drops off guests at specified stops along specified routes to facilitate getting guests to and from parking lots and locations

  • Maintains shuttle equipment to optimal operational and optical condition

  • Assists other operations as necessary (e.g. Parking, Guest Safety and Service, Food and Beverage, emptying garbage, etc.)

  • Performs any reasonable tasks as requested by management

  • Understands, supports and implements policies and procedures concerning: carpooling, maverick parking and uphill parking, etc.

  • Maintains awareness of special events, groups and other circumstances out of the range of normal operations

  • Performs responsibilities related to sustainability, waste diversion, and efficiency

  • Makes sure the requirements for compliance with CHP, Commercial Transport Regulations, DOT, ADA, and OSHA are always met

  • Must be flexible and willing to complete all duties that are assigned

Responsibilities

  • Correctly uses all personal protective equipment at all times

  • Protects the safety of self, co-workers, and passengers at all times

  • Promptly reports any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s)

  • Reports safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures

  • Follows all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in department-specific procedures or manuals

  • Operates equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others

  • Drives in accordance with the law and airport policies

Qualifications

  • One year of similar experience preferred.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Must meet all requirements to receive required badges and seals (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history
