What You Will Do :

Guidehouse is seeking an Strategic Communications Senior Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will play a key role supporting digital media products, brand management and strategy, internal and external communications, and data visualization for large-scale programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Day-to-day tasks include some or all of the following:

  • Working with creatives to develop client branding products across various types of digital media.

  • Creating and managing communications content that will proactively engage national program employee stakeholders and external audiences.

  • Training, mentoring and leading staff, both within engagement as well as internal development

  • Plan, coordinate, produce, review and edit content for client publications

  • Developing articles, key talking points, integrated messaging and presentations for external stakeholders Independently partnering with client executives to develop trusting relationships across the engagement team.

  • Collaborating with staff across work streams to support the client and project team in the development and implementation of transformational public relations.

What You Will Need :

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Bachelors Degree

  • (EIGHT) 8+ years of communications, public relations experience

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Active DHS Public Trust

  • Law Enforcement experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications

  • Ability to take complex concepts, create clear and concise copy, and adjust messaging according to internal or external stakeholders and audiences.

  • Experience in strategic communications, including an understanding and working knowledge of programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

  • Working knowledge of Federal Plain Language Guidelines

  • Familiarity with Federal 508 Accessibility Requirements

  • Experience A/B testing on brand strategy

  • Master's Degree in relevant field
