Rock Central LLC (dba Rocket Central) has multiple openings for the position of Sr. Software Engineer (Ref# SSERC).

Work Location:  1005 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48226.  Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Design and maintain internal and external facing software applications.  Involved in all phases of the software development life-cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business needs.  Gather and analyze requirements and translate business requirements into technical designs.  Write code for the design and development of applications, back-end services, and reusable libraries.  Implement object-oriented software designs with architectural design patterns and constraints.  Develop and enhance interactive user interfaces.  Perform cloud or on-prem database design based on application needs. Create objects and write queries and joins.  Perform unit testing and measure and verify code performance, quality, and scalability.  Propose software design solutions.  Lead design and code reviews.  Design and implement core risk logic for automated applications.  Enhance development processes and leverage continuous integration and delivery.  Share best practices and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.  Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Programmer Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related experience.  Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience.  Position requires 2 years of experience with the following tools/technologies/skills: software/applications development; requirements gathering/analysis; either C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Progress4GL; and SQL Server or Oracle.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein.  40hrs/week.    Application Instructions:  To apply, please MAIL resume to the following address, ensuring to indicate the position reference code (Ref# SSERC) for which you are applying.  Mail to:  Rock Central LLC (dba Rocket Central), Attn:  J.
