Kforce Senior API Developer in Detroit, Michigan

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Web API Developer to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity in Detroit, Michigan (MI). Responsibilities:

  • Prepares detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows from which software applications will be developed and implemented

  • Assist in the design and development of enterprise systems making specific determinations about system performance, reliability, and scalability

  • Responds promptly and professionally to requests for support in order to troubleshoot and/or maintain production systems

  • Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support, to keep information systems current with changing technologies

  • Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming

  • Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product

  • Writes, edits, and debugs new computer programs for assigned projects, including necessary records and desired output

  • Tests new or enhanced programs to ensure logic and syntax are correct

  • Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level

  • A few years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale OLTP and DSS in a client-server environment

  • Other database design, development, and normalization using Oracle DBMS or Microsoft SQL Server

  • Other web service protocols (SOAP/REST/WSDL) and data formats (XML/JSON)

  • Other both the use of structured and object oriented systems analysis, design, development tools, and techniques

  • Other Broad base of knowledge with various OS including all Microsoft OS, UNIX, Linux

  • Other continuous integration technologies (TFS, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, jUnit)

  • Other IT experience in a healthcare environment
