Project Manager

This is an intermediate project manager position. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager plans and designates project resources, assist in preparing budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Typical tasks include project initiation through project closeout, providing upper management with daily/weekly/monthly status reports, forecasting monthly cost and revenue, maintaining a project specific Microsoft Projects/P6 schedule and analyzing project budgets and earned value. The candidate will be working on the project site during the duration of the project.

What Do You Offer Us?

  • Assist with on-boarding new employees (when required)

  • Assist in project office set-up

  • Create and communicate the project plan: safety orientations, training, etc.

  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation

  • Develop and maintain project file system (physical and electronic)

  • Maintain customer contact to obtain project specific requirements

  • Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in

  • Estimate costs based on provided estimating tools and or work with others to develop budgets

  • Full understanding of the project contract

  • Ensuring Change Orders are documented per the contract

  • Complete project close-out per company policy

  • Accruals tracked weekly/monthly and turned in at the end of every week

  • Scheduling work and crew make ups on MS Project/P6 for internal and external

  • Weekly manager and cost per day reports

  • Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm accuracy and production

  • Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to make sure all revenue is accounted for and accurate

  • Forecasting cost scope schedule resources daily/weekly/monthly

  • End of month explanations for variances to forecast

  • Work with internal support groups (Finance & Accounting, Billing) to set up projects in accounting system

    What is Required?

  • Basic understanding of Natural Gas Industry standards and practices

  • Ability to interpret field conditions and communicate project requirements

  • Ability to develop and communicate ideas regarding the project

  • Ability to apply basic project management concepts, and methodologies

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project

  • Proficient of financial practices and principles

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum supervision

  • Desired: Project Management Certificate from an accredited school or Project Management Institute
