As an Accounting Analyst within the Product Support and Logistics division, you will support with providing financial analysis to both Financial and Supply Chain Leadership. In the year ahead the Legal Entity accounting function will transition to a shared service centre, this role provides additional resource to the analysis of the financial results.

Job Duties / Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Accounting team with the development and maintenance of a series of financial KPIs, providing business leaders a structured view of financial performance and key risks.

  • Preparation of management reporting to provide detailed analysis to support specific KPIs.

  • Lead discussions to determine drivers for KPI performance, and support initiatives to improve.

  • Preparing monthly profitability analysis at total business, BU and cost centre level.

  • Monitoring performance and ensuring results are in line with Transfer Pricing requirements.

  • Maintaining the business import structure by preparing and logging import instruction templates, reviewing and maintaining transactional import documentation.

  • Provide support and cover to the Caterpillar Logistics Internal Control Coordinator, working to maintain and generate improvements to the company's financial control structure.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Relevant experience within financial accounting team

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance or Part Qualified in a recognised Accounting qualification.

  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to summarise and communicate to management/non-finance customers.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
