Description We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in DES PLAINES, Illinois, 60018-2605, United States. In this role, you will be accountable for various accounting tasks, including general ledger management, cost accounting, inventory management, and budgeting/forecasting support. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards by maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.

• Monitor and analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate product costing.

• Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, adjustments, and valuation.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.

• Coordinate with the Controller and provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits.

• Assist in the monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

• Collaborate with Controller and IT to enhance financial systems and processes.

• Utilize accounting software systems for processing payroll, including calculating wages, managing deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

• Conduct auditing of financial transactions and balance sheet accounts.

• Perform accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experienced with ADP - Financial Services

• Strong knowledge of Cl Programming

• Familiar with Concur software

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle multiple Accounting Functions

• Knowledgeable in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong understanding of Auditing principles

• Ability to manage and reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
