Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc Cost Analyst in Des Plaines, Illinois

KTS is seeking a cost analyst that will work with the finance and supply chain teams. This role will primarily focus on analyzing material costs and assisting with cost allocations to appropriate programs and products. This role will also assist with process improvements and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize business systems (Microsoft Business Central) to allocate material costs to projects and products monthly

  • Gather cost data through reports, verify accuracy, and assist with monthly inventory reconciliations

  • Analyze product costing methods, evaluate, and develop process improvements

  • Document processes and areas of concern for leadership team

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or a related field with at least 2 years of experience.

  • Very strong analytical and complex problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Understanding of financial and accounting principals

  • Experience creating financial models and reports

  • Cost accounting and analyzation

  • Experience analyzing, evaluating, and improving processes

  • Written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Advanced MS Excel skills such as Modeling, Pivot Tables, and Lookups

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to manage data from multiple business systems to extract critical data

  • In-depth ERP experience including modification, launch, or change updates

  • Experience with Business Central 365 and or Unanet
