Traffic Signal Electrician - Licensed
Ultimate LLC is immediately hiring a Traffic Signal Electrician for projects in the Des Moines area. The pay range for this position is $28-$33/hr. All journeyman electricians are scheduled 40+ hours a week. We are looking for skilled craftsmen to add to our team of dedicated, safe, productive, and proven craftsmen. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all employees with no week in the hole and optional direct deposit.
Ultimate Job Duties:
Licensed journeyman electrician (required)
-IMSA Level II certification (required)
-Class A CDL operator (preferred)
-Installation of traffic signal poles, cabinets, and heads
-Wiring of lighting and traffic signal cabinets
-Preforms routine and emergency repair of traffic signals on site
-Troubleshooting of traffic signal systems
-Installs and maintains traffic signal systems
-Installs underground traffic signal cable and street lighting cable installation
-Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations
-Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, cities, and public
-Ability to lead crew members to the tasks at hand
-Ability to work in all weather conditions
-Ability to work near heavy traffic
-Ability to work in heights up to 50’
-High attention to safety and proper PPE
-2 years of experience in traffic infrastructure
Ultimate Trade Requirements
5+ years of Electrical experience
Appropriate PPE (Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, vest, steel toe boots)
Must have basic hand tools to perform trade
Ability to perform regular standing, bending and kneeling and lifting of up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Active Iowa JM License
