Substitute TeacherResponsibilities:

  • Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
  • Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans
  • Teaching students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
  • Building positive relationships
  • Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
  • Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
  • Create a classroom environment that's conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
  • Adapt to the various learning styles of students
  • For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Substitute ParaprofessionalResponsibilities:

  • Assume duties of the district aide in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Teachers On Call policies
  • Assisting students on classroom topics/courses
  • Assist in building a classroom environment that's conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students
  • Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies for children with special needs, including those with autism.
  • Provide support and assistance to children in a daycare or preschool setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals to develop and implement individualized educational plans for children.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support children during mealtime, naptime, and other daily routines.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

Minimumrequirements:

  • Substitute Teacher- Associate's degree with Substitute Authorization license or Substitute License
  • Paraprofessional/Associate - High School Diploma
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language fluently and effectively
  • No experience necessary; we provide training! Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
