GovCIO SharePoint Developer in Des Moines, Iowa

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring fora highly skilled SharePoint Developer with 8 years of experience to join our team and play a key role in the assessment and validation of Microsoft's SharePoint solution as part of a Proof of Concept (PoC) aimed at enhancing pension plan data management (PPDM) processes for PBGC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing prototypes, implementing functional elements, and conducting feasibility testing to validate the chosen technologies and solutions.This position will be a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review previous analyses and gain insights into existing tech stack and requirements for PPDM.

  • Coordinate and participate in discussions with Microsoft to explore available products and technologies for Document Management software and cloud services.

  • Conduct market research and engage with industry experts to gather insights and best practices for SharePoint development.

  • Set up and configure the PPDM PoC environment, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.

  • Develop prototypes and conduct feasibility testing to validate the chosen technologies and solutions.

  • Collaborate with ITIOD to configure and invoke Use Cases to test the feasibility of the technologies and identify any additional technology needed.

  • Support comprehensive requirements documentation, including user stories, to guide the development and implementation of the PPDM solution.

  • Support the blueprint and cost analysis for the PPDM modernization, including total cost of ownership and estimated timeline for implementation.

  • Provide support and assistance to the project manager and other stakeholders as needed throughout the PoC process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. with 8+ years or (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer, with a focus on document management solutions.

  • Extensive background with Microsoft Dynamics, MS SharePoint, and Azure DevOps.

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and DevOps development lifecycle.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience conducting market research and engaging with vendors to explore available products and technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Certification in SharePoint development or related technologies.

  • Experience with PPDM or similar data management projects in a government or regulated industry.

  • Knowledge of other relevant technologies, such as Kofax, OCR scanning, artificial intelligence, and process robotics.

  • Familiarity with government guidelines and regulations related to document management and data security.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
