Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Agronomist selling Brevant Seeds brand seed and serving the Northeast Iowa area retailers and customers. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.

The Retail Sales Agronomist (RSA) role is responsible for connecting with, training, team-selling, and portfolio planning with retailer sellers.

  • Essential ownership items for this role include Sales Generation, Product Knowledge Transfer, Modeling Best-in-Class behaviors at the farm gate with Key Retail Sellers, and Developing and Executing a successful plan in your geography to achieve sales targets.

  • Driving retail sellers ability to demonstrate and capitalize on product value is the most important priority of this role.

  • Other key responsibilities include plot strategy, agronomy meetings, in-field teaching, in-season and summer trainings combined with providing the right support materials regarding Brevant products to key retail sellers.

  • Leverage and promote the portfolio - supporting the process and instilling knowledge in sellers.

  • Maintain sellers focused on planning their efforts where they can drive business forward.

  • Create product confidence and drive demand toward planned products.

Qualifications

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 5-8 years of total Ag experience. 5-6 years of agronomy experience and proven abilities preferred.

  • Excellent time management.

  • An intangible drive to succeed and win.

  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, and influence.

  • Agronomy and knowledge of crop production practices preferred.

  • Understand changing market dynamics (forecasting, product/marketing input) and build a network of large growers to drive increased farm-gate demand within the territory.

  • Ability to pass driving record background check

  • VISA Sponsorship and International Relocation are NOT available for this position.
