Easter Seals of Iowa Respite Camp Counselor in Des Moines, Iowa

As a respite camp counselor, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of others. We're specifically looking for individuals with experience in past direct support care or respite care services for all ages of individuals. Here at Easterseals, you'll assist adults and children in classic camp activities, including canoeing, horseback riding, archery, nature trails, and more. The camp facilities include the Variety Club Rec Center, an accessible indoor pool, and the Meredith Tree House. Camp Sunnyside provides parents and caregivers with a much-deserved multi-day break while creating a safe and supportive environment for campers. It's a chance to promote new and exciting experiences using person-centered methods. The position runs from Friday at 5 PM through Sunday evening, making it a dedicated weekend stay for both camp counselors and campers. If you're looking for a fulfilling yet unique part-time opportunity, this role is ideal for serving individuals with physical and mental health disabilities. Interested candidates will go through a two-step interview process. First, a phone interview with the Recruitment & Talent Development Coordinator, followed by a second interview with a Team Leader.
