Meta Regional Strategist, Creative Shop in Des Moines, Iowa

Summary:

Come be part of the creative team at Facebook that is leading the industry in new ways to build advertising ideas in the rapidly changing media, mobile and marketing world. Joining Facebook’s Creative Shop means that you’re going to be a part of an incredibly talented and committed team that is focused on defining the role that Facebook can and will play in the future of marketing. As the North American Regional Strategist, you will be a partner to the Regional Strategy Lead and in-region strategists. You are responsible to work with external (agencies, technology partners, client in-house creative teams, technologists, etc.) and internal partners to enable focus on regional big bets with the goal to emerge with creative nuances. You will stay insatiably curious and lead the vision of the work, representing Creative Shop across multiple functions at Facebook. You, in partnership with the Regional Strategy Lead are responsible for expanding creative opportunities across the region, and each half, when in-region leads share their coverage plans, you will strategically and proactively stretch what's creatively, technologically or operationally possible within prioritized verticals. You will be an instrumental and fearless partner to investigate, understand, explore and deliver new cultural partnerships, tools and creative approaches, aimed to deepen collective regional project and evolve new ways of working. You are a natural investigator who will surface opportunities coming from regional projects and be the cultural connector on the ground. You are perpetually curious and willing to try things that you/we don't already know, aiming to build new solutions that can benefit our global teams and inform future Creative IPs - approaches to building work that unlock the creative potential of Meta’s platforms, connecting businesses and people. You will be a key partner for Creative Shop and other internal teams, focused on understanding the key motivations and plans behind your region's needs. In a timely and strategic manner, you will balance product plans and opportunities to build differently and creatively across our family of apps.

Required Skills:

Regional Strategist, Creative Shop Responsibilities:

  1. Drive external and internal partnerships to ensure cultural and product relevance in developing our creative work

  2. Align regional strategies with global product objectives and regional client objectives

  3. Influence the creative strategic conversation at bi-annual regional planning sessions

  4. Act as support and connective tissue between regional priorities and regional projects during strategic development

  5. Carve out white spaces and experiment with creative territories that we don't already know

  6. Lead and represent Creative Shop in your region's big bets initiatives and define the value Creative Shop can add

  7. Ensure progress and deployment of regional initiatives and strategic priorities

  8. Build synergy and own the relationships amongst internal partners on regional initiatives

  9. Create milestones to track progress and share back learnings/successes

  10. Provide regular, proactive updates to executive leadership

  11. Build alignment among key project stakeholders and escalate key decisions as required

  12. Track the overall progress and quality of the work/client behavior produced

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in Strategy, Planning, Advertising, Marketing, Innovation, Branding, or Consulting

  2. Demonstrated experience building and growing high functioning, healthy work streams

  3. Communication and leadership without authority skills

  4. Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams across multiple stakeholders within large enterprises

  5. Experience analyzing data and develop actionable insights

  6. Experience building presentations and using common business software – Office, Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides

  7. Knowledge and experience working with the North America market

  1. Experience working in a Regional role with a complex and highly effective collaborative structure

  2. International working experience, working in-market

  3. Strong understanding of Meta's products and business strategy

  4. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional partners

  5. Marketing experience in driving innovation or experimentation work

  6. Design thinking experience

  7. Fluent in English
