Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant performs administrative duties on a daily part time basis that may require considerable experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and practices for the team in Support Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes a variety of applications and other confidential forms.

  • Assist in the development of materials, multimedia visual aids, and communications.

  • Research, develop and maintain numerous databases/reports for departmental team members, which create timely and efficient workflow.

  • Maintain records and prepare reports to evaluate effectiveness and performance of department programs.

  • Manage miscellaneous files or projects such as training, expense reporting, etc.

  • Facilitate and coordinate communications between groups.

  • Provide secretarial/administrative support for the QCC Leadership Team. Assist with mailings, copying, filing, faxing and other administrative duties.

  • Screens telephone calls, e-mails and appointments daily. Receives and directs visitors as needed. May resolve routine inquiries.

  • Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries. May act as liaison while supervisory is out of office or traveling.

  • Sort, open, and distribute mail and faxes.

  • Order and monitor office supplies.
