Easter Seals of Iowa Kitchen Cook in Des Moines, Iowa

Easterseals Iowa is looking for a team member to join our Hospitality Team in our Kitchen setting as a Cook! Come join us as we serve individuals on our Easterseals campus!

This position will be Full Time, Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm with an occasional evening or weekend as needed. Those individuals with previous hospitality service as urged to apply!

Principle Accountabilities will include:

-Ability to work independently in a positive professional manner. -ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days. -Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. -Insurable under Easterseals vehicle insurance policy. -Ability to lift eighty pounds -Valid drivers License and Access to reliable transportation to and from work

-Prepare and serve scheduled meals

-Implement and honor all special diets -Daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dining area floors and storerooms to meet Public Health and American Camping Association standards -Supports catering actives as directed by serving snacks and meals. -Provides feedback and input to the Assistant Director, Hospitality and Facilities Management on best practices and policy in providing health and appealing meals that delight customers and grow revenue -Completes necessary evaluations, reports, and other documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. -Understands and complies with all policy and procedures -Other duties as assigned

Interview process consists of first phone interview with Recruitment and Talent Development Coordinator and 2nd Department Specifics Team Leader.
