  • PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation of component models and definition for highly complex components and assemblies in UG NX to meet location and build/maintenance access requirements

  • Interaction with designers to understand project requirements & creating UG NX models and definitions in line with design requirements

  • Preparation of tolerance stack layouts/spreadsheets

  • Review and documentation of UG NX Models & definitions

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE)

  • Part & Assembly Modelling and Detailing using UG NX

  • Good knowledge of Interpretation & Application of GD&T

  • Good knowledge of ASME/ISO standards

  • Good verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and a diverse staff population

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with proprietary information

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE

  • Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with an electrical bias preferred, but not essential

  • 3- 6 years of experience in Part & Assembly Modelling and Definition in UG NX

  • Experience of ASME standards & GD&T

  • Experience in model & definition checking is an advantage

  • Sound knowledge of various manufacturing processes

  • Exposure to Integrated Project Teams environment/ Gated Design Review process would be an added advantage

  • Gas Turbine Domain knowledge is preferred

  • Model-Based Definition (PMI) experience is preferred

  • Ability to generate formal technical documentation suitable for designer/subject matter expert review

  • Experience of Aerospace certification & qualification standards and their application for electrical power systems

  • Exposure to TCE environment is desirable
