DePaul Program Director of Single Supportive Housing in Depew, New York

Overview

DePaul is now hirng a Program Director for our Single Site Supportive Housing Programs throughout Erie & Niagara County. The Program Director is responsible for the oversight of Single Site Supportive Housing. This includes ensuring quality care for the tenants, the effective training and supervision of staff, and completing the necessary tracking and reporting requirement. Overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the oversight and operation of Single Site Supportive Housing in designated region/area.

  • Assist with the program start up at new Affordable Housing projects.

  • Develops and maintains positive working relationship with various community service agencies including the local government unit, SPOA and Continuum of Care.

  • Markets new and existing programs to ensure that proper census is maintained.

  • Conducts audits to ensure that appropriate tenant records are maintained.

  • Adheres to and oversees program budget and reviews them for accuracy.

  • Ensure that staff are properly trained and evaluated, including attending any required trainings.

  • Ensure that staff initiates direct contact with each tenant on a least a monthly basis.

  • Responsible for submitting periodic required reports and necessary statistics (Homeless status, MRT status, etc.).

  • Ensure that all staff adhere to person centered philosophies and practices.

  • Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis, both in person or via phone for remote sites.

  • Work conjunctively with Quality Management and Risk Management in order to promote optimum tenant care.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations for self and others including the provision of two person visits when indicated.

  • Respects and maintains customer confidentiality. Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude towards all customers and staff.

  • Perform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the program.

Qualifications

Must meet one of the following three criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Human Service field plus two years of residential experience working with mentally disabled individuals (one of which includes related supervisory experience).

  • Associate’s degree in a Human Service field plus three years of residential experience working with mentally disabled individuals (one of which includes related supervisory experience).

  • High School diploma or GED plus five years residential experience working with mentally disabled individuals (two or which includes related supervisory experience).

    *In addition to the above criteria this position also requires a clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy. The use of one’s personal vehicle is also a requirement.
