Job Description

3rd Shift Maintenance Leader (Crackers) JOB SUMMARY Leads and coordinates activities of mechanics engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates daily work activities of Maintenance crew. Prioritizes assignments and follows up with crew members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Maintains ongoing communication with Operations to discuss issues and provide updates on Maintenance activities. Works with Mechanics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system problems. Interfaces with Electro-Mechanics to resolve complex problems. Serves as liaison for outside contractors. Oversees repair process to facilitate timely repairs and efficient use of mechanic's time. Assumes responsibility for the Quality System requirements defined in 4.1.2.1 of the Pepperidge Farm, Inc. - Denver Plant Quality Procedures Manual. The above reflects the typical duties of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises several non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include directing work, resolving problems, and addressing complaints. SCHEDULE Approximate working hours are 6:45 pm to 7:15 am working 4 days per scheduled week. Working this schedule would require the leader to work every other weekend. EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE Must possess a minimum of three years of previous Industrial Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment and demonstrate leadership abilities. Completion of Industrial Technology coursework is required. Additional qualifications include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as computer literacy and proficiency with the SAP System.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may also be elevated. TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY, AN INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EACH ESSENTIAL DUTY SATISFACTORILY. THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT CHARACTERISTICS DESCRIBED HERE ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THOSE THAT MUST BE MET BY AN EMPLOYEE TO SUCCESSFULLY PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB. Compensation and Benefits: The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $39.20 per hour.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
