Position Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts within the assigned region (North and South Americas) and account group. Responsible for securing and supporting Long-term agreements with key customers. Actively supports the corporation's Win Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for obtaining orders and sales.

  • Developing and implementing a strategic growth plan focused on technical and complex key accounts in the Power generation and LNG industries in North and South Americas.

  • Working with customers to determine the most cost-effective products and solutions, building strong client relationships and becoming a customer trusted advisor

  • Obtains specifications and approvals at major utilities, accounts and assigned distributors to develop pipeline of opportunities.

  • Ability to prioritise often competing workloads on an account-by-account basis to provide optimum customer support, sales and margin results.

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the market place, providing reports as required.

  • Keeps management aware of changes which would effect the distribution of Parker products. Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.

  • Assists the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts.

  • Keeps up with internal and external training and development.

Qualifications

+ + College degree or equivalent

  • A minimum of 3 years direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products.

  • Must be able to travel overnight 30% - 50% of time or as required.

  • Must have proven track record of working in a customer focused environment

  • Experience of the Power generation industry in North and South America is preferable but not essential.
