Jacobs Procurement Professional, Subcontracts - Remote in Denver, Colorado

This position is responsible for procurement transactions associated with subcontracting of services. The incumbent has working knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion. The incumbent understands the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Subcontracting assignments typically will consist of professional or technical services, and major construction services, or may be assigned as the lead for all subcontracting on a small project.

  • Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools

  • Advises to stakeholders how to create requisitions and helps them in understanding the overall Procurement process

  • Administers Procurement Agreements and change orders (modifications).

  • Reviews invoices related with subcontracts and ensures that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the agreement

  • Evaluates facts surrounding purchase subcontract-related problem areas and applies remedies to resolve it

  • Maintains subcontracting documentation in a repository

  • Identify and advise management of subcontract-related risks.

  • Prepare bidder lists, qualify bidders, prepare requests for quotation/proposal, and conduct bid evaluations.

  • Recommend source selections, lead purchase order negotiations

  • Ensure applicable prime contract flow-downs are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts

  • Assist in the preparation of proposal deliverables, including pricing of subcontracted services, execution approach narratives, and labor hour estimates for subcontracting.

  • Coordinates with project or departmental personnel in performance of the subcontracting activities.

  • Bachelors Degree

  • At least 2 years applicable experience

  • United States Citizenship
