As a Software Development Engineer II - DevOps Engineer joining our Cloud Infrastructure team you will be able help lead the charge to a sustainable energy future by enabling global power grid operators to increase their usage of renewable energy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for various projects.

  • Collaborates with product, development, QA, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and enhance software delivery processes.

  • Proficient implementing infrastructure as code.

  • Assists with containerization and orchestration efforts.

  • Assists with setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.

  • Assists with Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and environments.

  • Collaborate with security teams to learn and implement best practices for securing infrastructure and applications.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the software industry including experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud infrastructure-related development.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and services.

  • Productive with 1 or more scripting/programming languages (Bash, Python, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

We have a suite of products written in Elixir/Elm and Python. You do not need to have experience with all the technologies listed, but candidates who most closely match our stack will be preferred:

  • AWS (certification a plus!)

  • • General Networking

  • Git/change management

  • PostgreSQL

  • Shell Scripting

  • Terraform

  • Ubuntu

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Compensation:

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role when based in Denver, Colorado is $95,400 to $118,500. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short- and long-term incentives. Hybrid work environment is supported, position locations available in Denver, CO.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
