Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) (Western Union, LLC, Denver, CO)

Own devops and pipelines for E2E software development and deployment process. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process. Utilize modern programming languages and design patterns. Conduct unit testing and mocking frameworks. Assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Use technical and domain expertise to solve product challenges and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Work with engineering and business partners to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process. Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Lead product solutioning end to end for new innovations with iterative improvements. Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development. Be a culture champion on the team and across the company. Assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers. Apply Agile methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DoD) process for better quality by maintaining 90% unit test coverage and 70% integration test coverage. Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges. Perform thorough code reviews. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts. Share engineering support and release. Position allows for 100% remote work from anywhere in the U.S. and reports to Headquarters in Denver, CO. Salary: $130,520 - $150,250 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Lead Consultant, or any occupation/position/job title involving software systems engineering.

Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience utilizing Java, Springboot, API, and Microservices; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Computer science fundamentals; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) pipelines; and 3 years of professional experience utilizing Data-ingesting applications using industry standard RDBMS, NoSQL, and Consumer facing APIs and services.
