Job Overview:

A Controls Engineer with 3-6 years of experience is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of control systems for industrial automation processes. The engineer will work on complex projects, utilizing their technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of control systems for industrial automation processes• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure the control system meets those requirements• Develop and maintain technical documentation for control systems• Troubleshoot technical issues with control systems and provide effective solutions• Participate in the testing and commissioning of control systems at customer sites• Provide technical support for ongoing projects and customer service• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers• Continuously improve control system design and programming practices• Identify and evaluate new control technologies for potential implementation in future projects• Represent the company in discussions with customers and industry experts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field• 3-6 years of experience in control system design and development• Understanding of control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), industrial networking protocols, and communication protocols.• Understanding of controls instrumentation (valves, transmitters, switches, etc) and interface with the controls systems.• Advanced knowledge of programming languages commonly used in control systems, such as ladder logic and/or functional block diagram.• Experience in electrical and control system design, including schematic capture and circuit design• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple control systems• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to lead global cross-functional teams and manage complex projects• Strong technical leadership and mentorship skills.
