Project Controls Scheduler

POWER Engineers’ is seeking a Scheduler to join our growing Facilities Division! The Project Controls Scheduler will interact productively with key members of our Chemical Business Unit. The Chemical Business Unit is a new growing business unit within Facilities and this exciting opportunity offers diversity in both project types and clients. In this role, you will work on continuous processing system projects with an emphasis on Hydrogen, Gas Processing, Renewing Fuels and General Chemicals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Possesses an understanding of complex projects, integrated schedules, and how they work

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project for engineering and construction projects

  • Has experience managing integrated project schedules

  • Identifies work scope, technical sequencing, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Communicates with project teams, contractors, and clients to develop and maintain project schedules

  • Works with Project Managers to assure the schedule represents the execution plan

  • Independently builds the schedule with appropriate detail, logic, and resources that will produce reporting on budget allocation and burn rates

  • Develops the schedule to evaluate resources allocations with the available float

  • Updates task completion status and provides project progress to project managers and engineering leads through regular meetings, look-ahead schedules, and formal weekly detail reports

  • Participates in project meetings, reporting to the Project Managers and being accountable for the Project Control scheduling requirements

  • Prepares critical path, earned value, and schedule risk analysis

  • Manages changes and keeps team members aware of changes to the schedule

  • Identifying potential scheduling delays, schedule impacts of client changes and assisting with mitigation

  • Occasional travel required to Client sites

Required Education/Experience

  • Candidate must have 2+ years of professional experience

  • Minimum associates degree in a construction management or technical related field

  • Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6, Excel, and Access

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

Desired Education/Experience

  • Experience in either the Engineering or Construction Industry

  • Certification from AACE or PMI

  • Power BI, MS Project and P6 knowledge

Base Salary Range: $60K - 90K

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job related knowledge, skills, experience and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
