CoCal Landscape Services, Inc. Landscape Laborer in Denver, Colorado

CoCal Landscape Services Inc. is seeking 100 temporary F/T Landscape workers to work from 04/01/2024 thru 10/31/2024 in all cities in the counties of Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Broomfield, and Douglas. The workers will maintain the grounds performing any of the following tasks while working under close and full supervision, including cutting lawns using hand and power mowers, weeding by hand or clippers, leaf removal by rake or power blower, plant bed edging, flower plant, and tree plantings & maintenance using hand tools, shovels or machinery. Trim and prune trees using clippers. Spread mulch with wheelbarrows and shovels. Water lawns using hoses and sprinklers, and check and repair irrigation heads using hand tools and shovels. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs.Requirements:

Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Requires to walk and stand for long periods of time. Requires physical exertion to move manually, lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 50lbs. Longer hours may be required depending on weather conditions. Work on Saturdays may be required. 40 hours a week plus occasional OT.

Terms & Conditions of Employment: $21.69/hr.; $32.53 OT/hr. The pay rate may be higher for workers depending on seniority.

The wage offered equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage. M-F, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. A single workweek is used to compute wages due, and payment will be made weekly on Friday by check or deposit. The employer will make all the deductions to the worker's paycheck as the law requires.

3/4's Guarantee: The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 6-week period.

Transportation: Transportation and subsistence costs from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment, whether in the U.S. or abroad, will be covered by CoCal. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The transportation payment or reimbursement amount will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.

Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

Miscellaneous: CoCal will cover all visa processing, border crossing, and other related travel and subsistence fees; the employee will not have to be reimbursed for these expenses. On-the-job training will be provided to perform the duties assigned. Employees will be provided without charge with all the tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties.
