Description

Vitalant is currently seeking a Facility Operations Regional Manager to be responsible for the overall maintenance, operations, contracting, and construction of regionally designated buildings leased or owned. This critical role will manage, through 3rd party facilities management, all facets of facilities operations and maintenance including but not limited to; site, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building, irrigation, employee relocations, etc. The Facility Operations Regional Manager is the key point of contact within the responsible region when communicating with the Region.

This position will be on-site at our Denver, CO facility working in-office 3-5 days per week with occasional opportunity to work remotely from an at-home office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze data, make recommendations, and forecast capital expenditures. Manage contractor and subcontractor contracts. Assumes primary responsibility for facility functions for the business unit while also working in close collaboration with the business unit staff and 3rd party Facility Management company. Oversee, monitor, and measure service provider performance to ensure contracted scope of work and budget. Manage small projects independently. Oversees facility management including repair and maintenance of property. Responsible for space layouts and move planning. Participates in the annual budget preparation and ensures adherence to approved department budgets. Responsible for meeting operational and project related financial forecasts including implementing cost saving initiatives, process improvements, and efficiency strategies. Participate in company strategic planning activities and coordinate activities between multiple divisions in a matrixed environment to achieve desired results. Manages and oversees the delivery of Facility Maintenance, Custodial services, HVAC maintenance and installation. Oversees all communication technology (i.e., phone systems, building security, fire alarms, etc.).

Requirements

Knowledge/Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Licenses/Certifications

Valid in-state driver's license required.

IFMA or FMP certification preferred.

CoreNet Global membership preferred.

Experience

Five years of experience in facilities management, construction, asset management, along with development of real estate strategic plans, financial forecasting and budgeting required.

Skills/Abilities

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Interpersonal skills that allow for cooperative relationships with vendors, contractors, and coworkers.

Flexibility and willingness to adjust to shifting demands and priorities.

Security practices and knowledge would be a plus.

Ability to self-perform small tasks.

Solution based management style.

Strong written communication and follow up skills.

Ability to travel (10+%).

Software/PC knowledge, AutoCAD or Visio experience preferred.
