The Executive Office/Government Intern is responsible for assisting the Executive Office with implementing agency policy through research, data analysis, and administrative tasks. Additionally, the Executive Intern is responsible for assisting and supporting matters related to government relation Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will have no supervisory responsibilities. Duties/Responsibilities: Support Executive Office staff through administrative tasks and comprehensive research for the implementation of various policies and procedures Draft correspondence for internal and external clients on behalf of the RTD Attend and report on stakeholder events and meetings Assist with the administration of the Executive Office and Board Relations Monitor actions and news related to transit throughout the district and identify opportunities for engagement and or action Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Required Skills/Abilities: A general understanding of government structures and procedures Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise written materials Ability to manage, coordinate, and implement projects and initiatives related to position focus area and other assigned tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Ability to use sound judgment and maintain confidentiality Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and the public Education and Experience: High School Diploma Preferred to be currently enrolled in a degree program in political science, public policy, law, or a related field, though not necessary.
