Summary:

The Commercial Relationship Managing Director -Environmental Services s disciplined and motivated self-starter who can manage business development efforts within the Environmental Services Sector. Please note: preferred locations are Ohio, California, Illinois and Colorado but open to remote anywhere in US.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and deepens relationships with clients and prospective clients within Environmental Services sector.

  • Work on loan originations in conjunction with portfolio manager with a focus on new loan originations including syndication opportunities.

  • Maintains an updated qualified prospect list that aligns with the risk profile of the bank.

  • Maintains updated pipeline and proactively works to close opportunities.

  • Leverages an established group of Centers of Influence to obtain referrals and continually works to grow this network.

  • Ability to identify and mitigate credit risks, make recommendations on appropriate credit structure, and effectively articulate bank recommendation to clients and prospective clients.

  • Serves as the point person in determining the customer's needs and meeting them through the seamless delivery of the bank's products, services and associated resources.

  • Develops and maintains profitable customer relationships.

  • Possess proficiency in credit fundamentals and is be able to determine the appropriate risks on new and prospective customers and transactions so that all relationships are entirely in strategic alignment with the risk profile of the bank, including all front-end guidance.

  • Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Accountable for risk management, compliance and audit performance for area(s) of responsibility whether a supervisor, manager or individual contributor.

  • Maintains current knowledge of risk-related changes that may impact assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Deep knowledge and relationship base in specified industry vertical of Environmental Services.

  • Structuring, underwriting and leading presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or a related field

  • 10+ years' experience as a Commercial Banking Relationship Management

  • Knowledge of Environmental Services sector

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal credit training and commercial banking underwriting experience

  • Actively involved in community and/or non-profit volunteering services

  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skill set

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and ability and willingness to become proficient with critical proprietary systems

  • Knowledge of Environmental Services lending is highly preferred

Compensation Range:

$250,000 -275,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
