Within our Cheese Global Business Unit located in Denver Leprino is seeking a Cheese Pilot Plant Operator to assist with and support a variety of experiments and projects toward the development of new product.

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $21.64 and $24.34 hourly. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.

  • Assists with operation of the dry mixer, single auger mixer (SAM) and extruder.

  • Completes set up, operation and cleaning of dicers/shredders, QLC freezer, grinder and gas flush equipment.

  • Accurately labels and packages final cheese products and transports to warehouse for storage.

  • Monitors and completes refinished cheese as generated by the cheese trials and as needed to maintain cooler cleanliness.

  • Maintains accurate records for refinish produced, bacti results and LIMS requests for these products.

  • Records, tests and maintains brine parameters daily.

  • Maintains housekeeping standards in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Follows all Standard Operating Procures (SOPs) in the Pilot Plant.

  • Maintains and ensures that the caustic dosing system is functioning well for the cheese pilot plant basin.

    You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A High School diploma or GED.

    We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience working in a food production facility.

  • Additional certifications or training in food production.

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
