Prologis Mobility is tackling a unique opportunity to leverage Prologis's real estate, development platform, renewable energy expertise, and customer base to build a market leading turn-key electric vehicle charging business. Medium and heavy-duty electric fleet vehicles of the future will largely be charging at warehouses and mobility hubs. This, together with the expanding market penetration of e-commerce and the resulting growth in warehousing space, puts Prologis in a unique position to provide vehicle charging solutions at scale. We have already charged 2M+ miles for electrified fleets and are only getting started.

As Prologis Mobility's Business Planning & Operational Finance Lead, you will be a crucial member of the team interfacing regularly with Mobility's Global Leadership Team to empower us to manage through measurement. Reporting to the VP of Business Operations, you will ensure that our global leadership team has access to the right performance metrics and industry insights to inform strategic and tactical decision-making. We are looking for a self-starter who is versatile, can thrive in a fast-paced environment and think critically. You'll manage financial planning, forecasting and budgeting for the Mobility business unit, and leverage data to deliver clearly-articulated insights to guide strategy discussions. Because you will be so close to our financial data, you will also be an integral participant in the design and maintenance of financial data and systems architecture that can support the organization as we rapidly scale in the coming years.

We are looking for someone with a track record as a highly effective finance business partner to business unit leadership, ideally experience managing FP&A / finance operations at a startup. You must demonstrate excellent collaboration, communication, detail orientation and analytical skillsets, and have experience identifying and diagnosing complex business problems and developing action plans to address them.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the annual business planning cycle including but not limited to cross-functional project management of the business planning process, data gathering from all global teams, data analysis to inform key assumptions, building / improving the financial model, and business plan socialization. Throughout the process you will work in close collaboration and alignment with the Global Energy, Mobility and Sustainability Finance, and Corporate FP&A.
  • Gather and integrate data into analytical models and tools (via Excel, Tableau, Sigma) to track our team's progress against scorecard KPIs, and maintain up-to-date performance projections. This will require you to source performance data from across multiple functions and team leaders.
  • Deliver monthly reporting and forecasting, highlighting variance from plan/prior projection. Your reporting will be delivered not only to our Mobility Leadership team, but also to the C-Suite of the company across Corporate FP&A, Tax, Investor Relations, ESG etc.
  • Define and track business performance risks and guide the tea in developing and executing on mitigation strategies. Maintain the risk register and translate key assumptions, risks and mitigation strategies into digestible executive-level communication.
  • Identify and implement improved financial planning, budgeting, and spend management systems and processes. You will work closely with the rest of Mobility Business Operations team and IT to inform the improvement of business processes, organization/architecture of data, and the creation of automated systems to enable our business unit to scale.
  • Master the company strategy and business model, maintain current knowledge of market dynamics, and maintain a deep understanding of the opportunity and risk of Prologis Mobility's current and future platform, product, customer, and geographic footprint.
  • Up to 10% travel, domestic and international.

Building blocks for success

  • Must be available to work with leaders in multiple time zones across the U.S. and Europe
  • 5+ years of progressive finance roles
  • 3+ years of experience managing/leading a team, either directly or through cross-functional project/programs
  • 4+ years of FP&A experience, with an emphasis on financial analysis, modeling and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing budgeting and business planning processes
  • Clear track record of successfully cultivating and managing cross-functional business partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex data simply to key stakeholders in both verbal and written forms
  • Strong business intelligence and financial systems knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Sigma, Tableau, Planful)
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment through a calm demeanor, strict prioritization, asking questions, and focusing on progress over perfection.
