NGL Energy Partners LP Assistant Distribution Coordinator in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

The Assistant Distribution Coordinator role will assist and support the business’ back office functions, performing functions around Bills of Lading (“BOLs”) procurement, review, and entry into Centennial’s revenue distribution system, Solarc Right Angle (“SRA”), with a focus on inventory levels and reconciliations at those facilities. Additionally, the role will be a key figure in handling customer requests for items such as BOLs and clarity as to the contract application of those BOLs, and reconciliation and reporting of contract application in SRA compared to orders scheduled. The role will assist in managing the fleet of general purpose (“GP”) cars used for natural gasoline, working with lessors and shops to get repairs and required qualification work completed, as needed quickly and efficiently. Scheduling some truck sites, placing orders, and managing inventory are also a component of the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter BOL’s into the system for railcars, trucks, barges, and vessels (physical transfers) and preparing loading summaries for use by customers, Marketers, and Accounting, as needed.

  • Standard e-filing of this paper work on internal network, as well as providing to customs and sending to customers as necessary.

  • Maintaining an accurate shipment count on orders, ensuring proper contract application and monitoring contract performance

  • Providing customer service to customer and/or suppliers as needed pertaining to monthly activity (shipments, contract summaries, railcar tracing, etc)

  • Perform periodic reconciliations between actual shipments as entered into SRA and what was ordered/tracked, and work internally with schedulers to resolve differences and adjust orders, as needed

  • Update monthly the railroad/trucking fuel surcharge sheet and send to appropriate users, as needed

  • Keep accurate records of the cars on lease for the GP fleet, including car numbers by rider and required qualification work deadlines

  • Work with lessors and shops to manage maintenance work and review and approve repair bills for reasonableness

  • Log timely problems with the various railroads when necessary, and ensure that the problem logs are resolved as quickly as possible

  • Assist with maintaining accurate freight rates in SRA

  • Develop strong working relationships with customer’s logistics personnel; provide excellent service to customers as the primary contact for all matters.

  • Works with other distribution coordinators in the department as a member of a team to achieve department goals and objectives and cover other workload when they are on vacation or out ill.

  • Other duties may be assigned according to business necessity.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • 2- or 4-year college degree

  • Some college, computer technology, business or accounting school/classes are desirable.

  • 2+ years of logistic scheduling experience, preferably rail, with exposure to international markets a plus

Qualifications/Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to identify problems or areas for improvement and work to resolve those issues.

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, primarily Excel.

  • Ability to work within the data base system in order to create and utilize reports.

  • Must be accurate, well organized, be able to prioritize and work under pressure.

  • Aptitude to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment during certain seasons.

  • Proactively works in such a way as to be ahead of issues to minimize or mitigate losses or mistakes.

The actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in NGL’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, skill set, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the role.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00
