JPMorgan Chase Asset Management - Funds - Western Divisional Manager in Denver, Colorado

This position is responsible for:

  • Profitable growth of sales and assets, as well as the retention of assets, of JPMorgan investment products

  • In conjunction with the National Sales Manager directs the region's sales program, assigns territories, sets sales goals and establishes training methodologies for the Client Advisor team.

  • Advises and coaches Client Advisors on ways to improve sales performance to grow the Global Funds franchise

Essential Job Functions:

Business Development - Assist each Client Advisor to create and implement an aggressive business plan that maximizes the opportunity for each territory:

  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with key decision makers, gatekeepers and centers of influence throughout territory

  • Develop sales ideas and presentations in conjunction with Marketing

  • Develop, implement and monitor practices to increase the Client Advisors' effectiveness and efficiency

  • Organize and direct sales development and training activities

  • Work with Centers of Influences at client firms to advance the sales process from strategic initiatives

  • Monitor implementation and progress of territory business plans

  • Monitor progress of sales goal achievement

People Management - Facilitate a dynamic sales environment of top producers

  • Evaluating the quality of the Client Advisor's activity and provide weekly coaching to enhance skills and territory management abilities

  • Hiring and training of new, as well as existing Client Advisors to ensure core competencies and continual professional growth

  • Retain and develop high quality staff who have the ability to maximize the opportunity in their territory

  • Support and train on the development of sales skills among the Client Advisor team and ensure ongoing enhancement of their industry and product knowledge

  • Evaluate and provide developmental feedback to Client Advisors on an ongoing basis

  • Travel with client advisors to observe quality of presentations, ability, acceptance by clients and provide constructive input for improvement

Administrative/Organizational Management

  • Budgets - Develop and monitor territory budgets for each territory

  • Activity - Report on Monthly activity metrics to sales management and various sales reports as needed; Maintain and monitor travel schedules for the Client Advisors

  • Expenses - Monitor and approve/reject territory expenses

  • Team Development - Lead weekly staff meetings, participate on conference calls, attend sales meetings, marketing meetings, and others as necessary

  • Problem Resolution - Assist Internal Client Advisor team with technical, phone, operational, and system problems

  • Human Resource Reports - Understand the HR policies and track sick time, personal and vacation days


  • Resource Management - Demonstrated abilities in coaching a sales organization and accomplishment of sales goals

  • Communications - Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills

  • Passion for the business - Outstanding energy, focus, and drive to achieve results

  • Integrity - Sets high standards for self and others and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Manages Relationships - Capacity to build and manage relationships across entire organization and with our partner firms

  • Drive for Achievement - Proven results and demonstrated sustainable achievement in a financial sales environment

  • Technical Expertise - Ability to demonstrate industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace

  • Education - Bachelor degree preferred

  • Experience - 3 or more years of prior financial service management experience and/or 8 or more years mutual fund and managed money wholesaling experience

  • Licenses - Minimum requirement Series 6, Series 7, 63, and 24 (possess or obtain)
