We're looking for a 1st shift NDT Assistant to join our team. We value creative and artistic people who enjoy the satisfaction of using their hands to create fine lines, edges, and symmetry on aerospace parts. We will train you on how to mask parts and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings that will guide you through the process of working with each part. Position Overview:

The NDT Assistant I is responsible for masking parts using various types of masking tapes and techniques using a drawing as a guide. You will also remove masking after parts have been etched. You may also do some etching of parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Running daily etch rates for the pre-penetrant etch process and entering the information into an excel program
  • Masking parts when required for the etch process per customer requirements
  • Racking and un-racking parts for the pre-pent etch process
  • Moving jobs to the correct location when finished with etching

Skills:

  • High-level attention to detail and manual dexterity is required
  • Must be able to communicate in English verbally and written
  • Perform mid-level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Critical Evaluation and thinking

Working Conditions -This job operates in a manufacturing/processing environment. Some exposure to processing elements such as noise, temperature, and exposure to chemical processing materials may require following safety precautions and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (eg Respirators, Hearing Protection, Chemical Resistant Clothing, Safety Shoes, etc).

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
