2nd Shift Foundry Superintendent:

My client is looking to hire a 2nd Shift Foundry Supervisor and the job entails overseeing production workers on a designated shift, ensuring adherence to efficiency, timeliness, and quality standards. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and supervising other shift supervisors to achieve organizational goals. This position is available for 2nd shift 3-11:30PM, and relocation assistance is provided.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and engage production workers to ensure productivity and goal achievement.

  • Provide feedback, reinforcement, and discipline when necessary to develop employees.

  • Mentor other supervisors and ensure alignment with organizational expectations.

  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.

  • Promote a safe working environment and provide training on safety protocols.

  • Develop production plans to optimize equipment and employee utilization.

  • Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct monthly performance reviews.

  • Assure quality standards are met and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Develop and execute equipment maintenance plans, including shutdown periods.

  • Conduct regular shift meetings and act as a liaison between shop floor and management.

  • Attend production and management meetings, implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Recommend major capital projects for the area.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in computer usage and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities.

  • Experience in foundry operations such as Core, Melt, Heat Treat, Maintenance, and NDT.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
