As the Team Manager E-house Engineering for the Electrical Engineering unit you'll lead one of the engineering teams, specialists in designing modular power solution systems, so called e-houses & skids. The business unit delivers a full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for Data Center clients. We are part of the Siemens Global Centre of Competence for Data Center (https://new.siemens.com/nl/nl/markten/data-centers.html) projects, based in The Hague, in The Netherlands. The complexity in our projects is determined by size, speed, location(s) and continuous pressure in realisation. In other words, dynamic projects with great clients.

In this captivating opportunity you will be a true entrepreneur, leading your team as your own business. Pivotal to this opportunity will be driving the implementation of Engineering policies and guidelines, manages and coordinates all Engineering activities in the Engineering unit assigned. The team consist of 12-15 engineers, a mix of different nationalities and backgrounds. The main language is Dutch and English.

The key elements of this role involve:

Leading and Inspiring People

  • Inspiring, mentoring and coaching the dedicated employees, enabling their success as engineering experts.

  • With a hands-on approach, you’ll be working closely with your teams, actively contributing to projects / solutions while listening and empowering your teams to contribute, foster collaboration and focus on the customer.

  • Ensures obeying regional laws and regulations.

Development and strategy

  • Implements guidelines and defines functional specific policies, processes or methods to fulfil the superior Engineering strategy.

  • Affinity and knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.

  • Improve and adapt the engineering work process to fit the needs of our customers and suppliers.

  • Drives the development of technical standards and procedures for Solution/System Engineering.

  • Work with the team on improving the designs to meet the high market demands on timely delivery and low project cost.

  • Ensures a proficient and capable workforce to conduct the Engineering activities in time and quality.

  • Develop a worldwide supply chain for the E-houses and Skids.

Financial

  • Leading Plans and allocates resources and budgets to Engineering projects or activities.

  • Ensuring profitable growth by flawlessly executing engineering projects, reducing / effectively managing the team and driving productivity.
