Hours:1st shift, 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday with overtime as needed Essential functions Reasonable accommodationmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Diagnosing and repairing
  • Performs guidance on triage to determine best solutions for repair
  • Perform general and detailed repair and installations of all trucks, engines, and components
  • Operate diagnostic test equipment proficiently

Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience performing maintenance on heavy duty diesel trucks
  • ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics and/or ASE Master Mechanic Preferred.
  • Cummins, CAT, Freightliners, Peterbilt training preferred.
  • Trailer repair history preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Valid drivers license, CDL preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well independently and with others
  • Excellent communicationskills
  • Excellent Time Management skills

Work Environment

  • Shop, indoor

Physical demands

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Travel required

  • As needed for semi break down, minimal

Required education and experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License (CDL Preferred)
  • Previous experience as a technician working on heavy duty diesel trucks

Preferred education and experience

  • ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics and/or ASE Master Mechanic Preferred
  • Cummins, CAT, Freightliner, Peterbilt training preferred
  • Trailer repair history preferred
