Switchgear Quotations Specialist

Summary:

The Quotations Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids. Responsible for reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge .

Responsibilities and Duties

An individual must be able to learn and utilize the technology made available to their position to ensure quality communication and efficient workflows for the organization.

• Perform take-offs from electrical plans and specifications.

• Establish and maintain good working relations with all our key switchgear vendors

• Ability to efficiently navigate both Siemens COMPAS GO and Eaton BIDMAN software packages

• Strategize between vendors, customers, and our sales associates to control and win profitable jobs • Produce quotations, bills of material, and create workable project hand-off documents

• Develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specs; negotiate and secure project orders in collaboration with sales team.

• Set industry standards for professionalism in accurate, quality quotations, timely follow-up, on-time submittals, and in general, exceed our customer expectations

• Work with IMT to ensure stock compatibility with the current market demands and customer preferences

• Manage vendor pricing agreements

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude, work well as part of a team

• Ability to learn manufacturer pricing programs

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership qualities and teambuilding spirit

• 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training. Electrical switchgear sales and/or Project or Product Management experience

Physical Activities

  • Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

  • Moves, lifts, carry and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

  • Sit for extended periods of time.

  • Frequent computer and phone use

    Work Environment

    Office environment, mainly seated at a desk in our Tech Department located in our Corporate Office. This position requires regular and reliable on- site attendance.
