SUNY Delhi seeks dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging Residence Hall Director(s) to join the Office of Residence Life. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Occupancy and facilities management

  • Performance of administrative duties

  • Student staff supervision

  • Enforcing and adjudicating violations to the student code of conduct

  • On-duty responsibilities and other work related commitments during nights and weekends

  • Student development

  • Developing interpersonal working relationships with students

  • Community building and promoting diversity within the residence halls and campus community

  • Coordination and/or development of living learning communities

  • Assist in planning and teaching the "Fundamentals of the Resident Assistant" class

  • Assist in a mutually agreed upon functional area on campus to work five hours per week

  • Serving on departmental and campus wide committees

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree

  • Experience working in Residence Life

  • valid drivers license and ability to be approved as a campus driver

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters degree, or ability to earn one within 3 years

  • Professional experience working in residence life

    Additional Information:

  • Salary: $42,328

  • Obligation: College Year (10.5 month obligation with 6 wks non obligation in June/July)

  • Budget Title: Residence Hall Director, SL2

  • Work Schedule: Days, evenings and weekends as assigned

  • This is a full-time, live-in/live-on position with a fully furnished on-campus apartment provided. SUNY Delhi has a live in partner/family policy (pending successful background check) and allows for limited pets with prior approval.
