Server Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.

  • Greet customers and present menu.

  • Take orders and delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion.

  • Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy.

  • Check products for quality and correct any problems.

  • Deliver checks and collect payments.

  • Complete daily wait staff duties to prep for service.

  • Cooperate with all serving and kitchen staff.

Cook Duties:

  • Overseeing the production of foods for the shift according to standards issued by the unit manager, assistant unit manager, chef and general supervisor maintaining a high standard of quality.

  • Check food in for the next shift's meals.

  • Fill reports in concerning usage of product in all areas as well as making notes concerning production of foods for said meal.

  • Record internal temperatures for finished food items.

Dishwasher Duties:

  • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of work area during and after service.

  • During slow periods, maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen or storage areas.

  • Ensure clean plates, cups, utensils, etc. as well as other cleaning related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager.

  • Ensure the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.

  • Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, slicer, mixer, etc.

  • Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.

  • Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.

  • Make sure bathrooms are kept clean.

  • Record the daily temperatures for all cooler/freezers.

    Other:

  • Assist in upholding all policies and procedures as instituted by CADI and/or SUNY Delhi.

  • Inform supervisor of any safety issues discovered in the workplace.

  • Maintain standards of sanitation, safety, and cleanliness at all times.

  • Maintain good working relationships among employees.

  • May be called upon to perform other duties not specifically described here.
