General Job Description and Expectations:

As a Concrete Laborer you will report to the Concrete Foreman and will be responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. The duties include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment, and digging or filling pits throughout the construction process. You are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have a positive and safe work site attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding diligence providing quality work.
  • Must have completed High School or GED equivalency.
  • Proven work experience as a concrete laborer.
  • Knowledge of road and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on weekends, public holidays, and at night. 
  • Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed. 
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions. 
  • Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, bending, or stooping for

         extended periods of time when on the jobsite.

  • Excellent communication and observation skills.

  • Possess an active, up-to-date driver's license. OSHA 30 Certification preferred. Previous job-

         related certifications a plus.

  • Physical effort/lifting, such as medium up to 50 pounds and occasionally heavy over 50

         pounds.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Clean, clear and preparing construction sites.
  • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes.
  • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties. * *
