Meta Facility Project Manager in DeKalb, Illinois

Summary:

Meta is seeking a data center Facility Project Manager to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Facility Project Manager is accountable for the portfolio of physical infrastructure projects on an operational data center campus and for ensuring the global retrofit standard is properly implemented across the site portfolio. The portfolio includes projects in electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire / life safety systems such that the candidate will need tohave a working knowledge of these disciplines.The responsibilities of this role include coordination and prioritization of a wide range of project planning and execution, developing project charters, work breakdown structures, and resource loaded schedules. The role requires proficiency in communicating issues and successes with respective operations groups. This individual will be coordinating all required resources necessary for successfully executing the retrofit portfolio at the site providing prioritization of work with cross-functional partners. Proficiency in working with sourcing and contract resources is essential.

Facility Project Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and prioritize infrastructure projects, develop project plans, and ensure timely execution.

  2. Collaborate effectively with different teams, ensuring smooth communication and teamwork.

  3. Manage a portfolio of retrofit projects, ensuring adherence to standards and successful implementation.

  4. Allocate resources, prioritize work, and create schedules to efficiently execute retrofit projects.

  5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals and support project success.

  6. Monitor project risks and collaborate with Construction Project Managers to mitigate them effectively.

  7. Oversee the commissioning process and ensure quality assurance in retrofit projects.

  8. Collaborate with Sourcing Managers to develop vendor contracts for project requirements.

  9. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations in retrofit projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years project management experience in any combination of construction, operations, maintenance, and project planning in complex environments

  2. Experience in comprehending plans, specifications, and equipment shop drawings, forecasting project budgets, schedules, and resources

  3. Familiar with Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Fire & Life Safety Systems, and applicable building codes.

  4. Familiar with Maintenance Planning tools such as CMMS. Proficiency with one or more Project Management IT toolsets (ie: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, ProCore, e-builder, etc.)

  5. Communication skills

  2. Experience in critical environment projects and demonstrated expertise in retrofit portfolio management.

  3. PMP or equivalent Project Management certification

$84,843/year to $136,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
