GT Technologies Quality Manager in Defiance, Ohio

Oversee all quality functions for large-scale, manufacturing operations, including serving as the voice of the customer and lead for all customer and TS audits. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards, and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Conduct Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new parts and products launches. Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures, in cooperation with other plant managers, to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Direct workers engaged in inspection and part layout activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Plan, support, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability. Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.

Location: 1125 Precision Way, Defiance, OH 43512. Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor -- Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree.

Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Plant Manager, Quality Engineer, or in a related manufacturing quality engineering role.

Experience must include:

  1. Working with surface finish attributes and how they are related and measured on valvetrain products.
  2. Using complex crown geometry on rollers used in valvetrain products.
  3. Processing on roller assembly operations for valvetrain products.
  4. Product launches using APQP/PPAP.
